We undertook a comprehensive extension and refurbishment project to enhance a private residential property, creating a more spacious and modern living environment.
Scope of work
The project commenced with the careful demolition of the existing single-storey rear/side extension and detached garage. Following this, enabling works and landscape regrading prepared the site for the construction of a new rear/side two-storey extension and detached double garage with storage facilities.
Interior Transformation:
The new extension introduced an open-plan kitchen/family room, utility area, master bedroom with balcony, en-suite, family bathroom, dressing room, and additional bedroom. A vaulted ceiling with double windows and balcony access was added to the master bedroom, featuring bespoke handrails and glazing.
Structural Enhancements:
Reconfiguration included the removal of the first-floor landing over the main entrance, with a new staircase installation to revamp the hall and landing space. New dormer windows were strategically placed throughout the property to optimize existing spaces.
Mechanical & Electrical Upgrades:
Comprehensive installations included underfloor heating on the ground floor and in upstairs bathrooms, a full electrical rewire, and a zoned heating system.
Refurbishment Highlights:
The existing house underwent full refurbishment, incorporating high-spec finishes such as smart aluminium windows, a tailored painted oak staircase, bespoke kitchen and utility areas, a gas fireplace, solid hardwood flooring, and modernized WCs and living spaces.
External Works:
A new raft foundation was laid for the double garage and rear store, complemented by landscaping that included paved and sandstone-tiled areas. The driveway was redesigned with new vehicular entrance gates, and the entire property received new rendered finishes.
