What we did

To suit the architectural layout, the project consisted of the construction of a portal steel frame building onto new foundations. The building envelope consisted of brickwork and blockwork at half height with a steel frame making the rest of the structure. This frame was then covered in a timber cladding for aesthetic consistency with the surrounding environment and neighbouring structures.

Internally, electrical and mechanical systems were installed including new lighting, power, data, and plumbing, along with a heating and ventilation system. As well as this, an internal lift was installed for ease of access.

The works were carried out whilst the site was in operation and guests continued to visit the farm. Close communication was kept between our Construction Manager & Site Manager with the Farm to enable the works to run smoothly and to cause as little disruption as possible to the staff and visitors.

Safety precautions for all visitors around the building were maintained throughout the project. On completion, all works were tested and certified with operation and maintenance manuals before being handed over.
