What we did

The works comprised the design and build and construction of a single storey building with the purpose of being used for sports (specifically table tennis) with associated drainage and external works. The building has space for four competition tables or six training tables plus changing rooms, storage and spectator amenities with social areas and viewing galleries.

In 2013, the existing table tennis club building was demolished to make way for the new Bulmershe 6th Form complex. Adjacent to the Goals Soccer Centre on Woodlands Avenue, work began with the construction of a purpose-built facility committed to the sport.

It provides members with a practice and competition facility which also allows for generous coaching time.

A grand opening ceremony was held in June 2014 with guest of honour and Kingfisher member Matthew Syed, and opened by Councillor UllaKarin Clark, Wokingham Borough Mayor.
